About Us
Caring for Dimmitt's animals, from house pets to the herd
We're a full-service mixed-animal practice rooted right here on the High Plains, looking after the dogs, cats, horses, and cattle that this community depends on.
Who We Are
A mixed-animal practice built for this community
Out here, animals aren't just animals. They're the dog waiting at the gate, the horse you've had since high school, the cattle that pay the bills. At Dimmitt Veterinary Clinic, we treat every one of them like it matters, because to the families we work with, it does.
We're a full-service animal hospital serving Dimmitt, Castro County, and the surrounding High Plains. Small animals come to us for wellness care, surgery, and dental work. For large animals and livestock, our facilities are set up to handle herd health, reproductive work, and treatment right here at the clinic.
Whether it's a routine checkup or an after-hours emergency, you'll be working with a team that knows this community because we're part of it too.
Our Story
Caring for local animals for 60 years
Dimmitt Veterinary Clinic has grown alongside the families and operations it serves. Here's a look at how we got here.
The beginning
Opened our doors in Dimmitt
The clinic started as a small-town practice with a simple goal: give the animals of Castro County dependable veterinary care close to home.
Growing up
Grew into a full-service animal hospital
As the community grew, so did we, adding a monitored surgical suite, dental care, and boarding so pet owners could handle more under one roof.
Building capacity
Expanded our large-animal capabilities
Recognizing how much of this region runs on livestock, we built out herd health programs and the on-site facilities to work cattle and horses at the clinic.
Today
Trusted across the High Plains
Today the clinic cares for pets and livestock alike, backed by an experienced team and a reputation this community helped build one visit at a time.
What We Stand For
Care that fits the way you live and work
Rooted here
We live in this community, so we understand what your animals mean to you and your livelihood.
One team, every animal
Pets and livestock, wellness and emergencies, all handled by a single trusted team.
Everything under one roof
Our facilities are equipped for cattle and horses as readily as cats and dogs, so most care gets handled in a single visit.
